Paddlers can spend up to thousands of dollars on kayaks, paddles, PFD's, spray skirts, and all the other essentials! How do we care for our investments? How do we make sure that every time we head out to paddle that all of our gear is ready to perform? And that our kayaks are without dents or the imprint of the garage floor or a 2x4? Martin Creek was created by two paddlers who faced their storage nightmares! We laid our new boats on the garage floor, on 2x4, and hung them from the ceiling. But every time we went to paddle our kayaks, there were scratches and dents (not even made from a paddling adventure) - not to mention there was no longer room in the garage for the car!

 

So we came up with a simple and effective way to store our kayaks. We looked for the best and simplest way to safely store any kayak we would own. And side storage was the answer! The KSR-1000/1600 was the first solution, then came the Free-Standing Rack, and then JR-2600. Storing a kayak on it side allows your hull to rest and not have to support the full weight of your kayak, which equals no more deformation! And with the kayak stored properly, there was now room in the garage for the car and all the bicycles! Since February of 2002 we have worked with many kayak manufactures (such as, Perception, Dagger, Islander, Impex, Current Design, Walden, Seaward, and Heritage) and helped many retail stores organize their kayak display area. But we are most proud of the stories and "thank you's" we hear from our customers. As of January 2007 we have sold over 10,000 kayak storage racks.

 

We are a small company with a passion for kayaking and the outdoors. We've owned a retail shop, instructed and led kayak tours - now our focus is on making quality storage products. When we aren't working, we are on the water in our Romanys or clicking off the miles on our road bikes (and still trying to find space in the garage for things other than kayaks)!
